Video: Netizens react as Wumi Toriola addresses trolls on her ‘violent’ character

Published

on

Yoruba Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has addressed trolls who have criticized her for her frequent violent character in movies.

In a viral clip, Toriola claimed that her movie character is in contrast to her real-life personality,

and that she is only interpreting her role in the best way.

Wumi Toriola also said that she has played love roles in movies,

but that many people confuse her true personality with what they see on screen.

However, some netizens have refused to accept her clarification. One netizen, Barrister Dolapo,

accused Toriola of being toxic and of using live Instagram videos to attack people she has issues with.

Dolapo cited Toyin Abraham and Seyi Edun as examples of people Toriola has attacked in this way.

Dolapo wrote: “You are a bitter soul… the fact that you always come on live video

anytime you have issues with someone shows you are too toxic…

you did it to shai and Toyin.

Any wise person in your industry won’t move close to you again.”

This is not the first time Toriola has been criticized for her violent character roles.

In a previous interview, she said that she has been offered fewer love roles

because of her association with violent characters.

She also said that she is worried that her violent roles may make it difficult for her to find love in real life.

It is important to note that Toriola is an actress,

and her job is to portray a variety of characters, both good and bad.

It is unfair to judge her real-life personality based on the roles she plays in movies.
