Repair works to commence on Third Mainland Bridge from November 6

Repair works are scheduled to commence on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos, Nigeria, on November 6, 2023.

The repairs are expected to last for three months, and will involve the closure of two ramps:

the Oworonshoki to Adekunle ramp and the Lagos Island (Adeniji Adele) to Adekunle ramp.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes during the repair period.

For motorists traveling from Oworonshoki to Adekunle, use the following route:

Oworonshoki to Ikorodu Road to Maryland to Mobolaji Bank-Anthony Way to Akerele to Adekunle

For motorists traveling from Lagos Island (Adeniji Adele) to Adekunle,

use the following route: Lagos Island (Adeniji Adele) to Carter Bridge to Iddo to Ebute Metta to Adekunle

The Federal Government has apologized for any inconvenience the repairs may cause,

and has asked for the cooperation of motorists.

  • Plan your journey ahead of time and check traffic reports before you leave.
  • Use alternative routes if possible.
  • Allow extra time for your journey.
  • Be patient and understanding.
