“I won’t be performing anywhere this December” – Rema speaks up as he discloses health worries



Popular Nigerian singer Rema has announced that he will not be performing anywhere in December due to health concerns.

Rema made the announcement in a statement shared on his social media pages on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.

“I’m so sorry to announce that I won’t be able to perform anywhere in December

as I’m currently dealing with some health issues,” he wrote.

“I’ve been feeling unwell for a while now, and

I’ve been advised by my doctors to take some time off to rest and recuperate.”

“This was a really tough decision to make, as I was really looking

forward to performing for all of you in December.”

“But I know that my health is the most important thing right now, and I need to prioritize it.”

“I want to thank all of my fans for your understanding and support.

I promise to be back as soon as I’m feeling better.”

Rema has not disclosed the nature of his health concerns,

but he has assured fans that he is doing everything he can to get better.

“I’m taking my medication and resting as much as possible,”

he said. “I’m also working with my doctors to develop a plan for my recovery.”

Rema’s fans have been sending him messages of support and well wishes.

“Get well soon, Rema! We’re all thinking of you,” wrote one fan.

“Don’t worry about missing your performances, your health is more important,” wrote another.

Rema is one of the biggest stars in Nigerian music.

He is known for his catchy songs and his unique blend of Afrobeats, pop, and R&B.

He has released several hit singles, including “Dumebi,” “Calm Down,” and “Soundgasm.”

Rema has also won several awards, including

the MTV Europe Music Award for Best African Act in 2022.
