“I want to secure Liam’s future” Mohbad’s father reveals why he desperately needs a DNA test

Joseph Aloba, the father of late Nigerian singer Mohbad,

has revealed that he is desperately seeking a DNA test for his grandson, Liam, to secure the child’s future.

Mohbad, whose real name is Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba,

passed away in August 2023 at the age of 24. He was reportedly battling with an undisclosed illness.

Liam, Mohbad’s son, was born just months before the singer’s death.

However, there has been speculation about the child’s paternity, leading to calls for a DNA test.

In an interview with Nigerian media, Aloba explained that he wants the DNA test

to be conducted to ensure that Liam receives his rightful inheritance and benefits.

“I want to secure Liam’s future,” Aloba said. “I want to make sure that he gets what is rightfully his.

I don’t want any confusion or disputes in the future.”

Aloba also expressed his concern about the impact of the paternity rumors on Liam’s upbringing.

“I want Liam to grow up in a peaceful and stable environment,”

he said. “I don’t want him to be subjected to any unnecessary stress or drama.”

Aloba has appealed to the mother of Liam to cooperate with the DNA test.

“I’m not trying to cause any problems,” he said. “I’m just trying to do what’s right for my grandson.”

The issue of paternity testing has become increasingly common in Nigeria,

as more and more people are seeking to establish the biological fathers of their children.

DNA testing can provide conclusive evidence of paternity,

which can be important for legal and inheritance purposes.
