Published

on

Popular Nigerian singer Davido found himself in a heated exchange with some of his fans after promoting Wizkid’s new song on social media.

This comes after the two music heavyweights recently

sparked excitement among fans with their friendly appearance at a club together.

In an apparent gesture of camaraderie, Davido took to Twitter to hype up Wizkid’s upcoming song,

tweeting: “New wiz Friday !!! Wtf!!! Replay ALL WEEKEND !!”

However, not all fans were pleased with this move. One fan,

@DaddyZee01, commented: “Davido u dey gba fr (you’re doing too much).”

Davido’s response was swift and somewhat heated:

“YOUR FATHER DEY GBA … NAH U KNOW IM 31 YEARS OLD … I WANT PEACE.”

Another fan, Junimill, expressed their frustration: “This man lowkey dey make stanship hard person o.

Wooooo make I go back to my simping and bombing jare

(This guy makes being a fan hard sometimes.

Ugh, I’ll just go back to my usual fangirling and teasing).”

Davido’s reply to Junimill was even harsher: “Fu.ck off then …. Ur not a fan.”

The exchange highlights the complex dynamics between artists and their fans,

particularly in the often-competitive world of Afrobeats.

While some fans appreciate Davido’s support for Wizkid, others see it as a betrayal of their loyalty.

Ultimately, it’s up to each individual fan to decide how they feel about Davido’s actions.

It’s important to note that some fans defended Davido,

arguing that his support for Wizkid is a positive development for the Afrobeats scene as a whole.

They believe that collaboration and unity among artists will benefit the genre in the long run.
