50 years after leaving home, 91 year old man, Samuel returns home with only walking stick
Samuel Machuka, a 91-year-old man from Kenya, has returned home after 50 years.
Machuka left home in search of greener pastures, and had been working as a casual laborer on a farm in Wote, Makueni County.
Through the help of the Provincial Administration, Machuka was able to reconnect with his family in Masabo village, Nyaribari Masaba Kisii.
Although only a few of his peers could recognize him, Machuka was joyfully welcomed by his family.
Samuel Machuka revealed that he had three informal marriages, but had no knowledge about the whereabouts of his wives. His elderly uncles, who had been searching for him in vain, expressed relief and stated their willingness to support him in settling down.
They offered him his portion of the family land to build a house and mentioned that any woman with his children would be welcome to live with him.
Machuka’s nephew, Makomba, expressed gratitude to the Provincial Administration and stated that as Seventh Day Adventist Christians, they would not hold any rituals but would instead warmly receive Machuka back home and allow him to settle.
Machuka’s story is a reminder that family is always there for you, no matter how long you have been gone. It is also a reminder that there is always hope, even after 50 years.

Blessing CEO, the CEO of a popular Lagos-based skincare brand, has slammed Sheila, the estranged wife of Davido’s logistics manager, Israel DMW.
In a recent interview, Blessing accused Sheila of marrying Israel DMW
only because of his association with Davido.
“Sheila only married Israel because of Davido,” Blessing said.
“She didn’t love him. She was just using him to get close to Davido.”
Blessing went on to say that Sheila is a gold digger who is always looking for her next meal ticket.
